'Veronica Mars' Movie Spoilers: Former Detective Attempts To Free Logan Echolls From Murder Charges [VIDEO]
The official trailer for the film adaptation of Veronica Mars has been released.
Based off the cult TV series, the trailer starts off with the former detective, played by Kristen Bell, interviewing for a position as a lawyer.
It appears that her life has headed in a different direction but that all changes when she sees a homicide on the news and her old friend Logan Echolls is a suspect.
Mars is needed for the case, but that's going to take some strength since she doesn't "really do that anymore."
Eventually, Mars and Echolls reunite and attend their high school reunion. Many didn't expect Mars to attend the reunion, but she shows that nothing has changed.
"I knew you'd be here. You've been sitting there since graduation, haven't you?" Mars sarcastically tells an old rival.
Aside from Veronica's interaction with her former classmates, she gets back into the world of private investigation to figure out a way to save Echolls. It appears that Veronica is the only one who can save him since the police have zero hope that Echolls could be innocent.
This leads to intense action, sparkling chemistry and extra witty dialogue.
"You're gonna use your stun gun on me?" Mars' old classmate says. "Don't you think that's gotten a bit old?"
Mars then punches the girl in the face and cries out "Original enough for ya?"
The film also stars Justin Long, Jerry O'Connell and Jason Dohring as Logan Echolls.
Veronica Mars is set to hit theaters on March 14, 2014.
