Pop sensation Ke$ha has checked into a rehab facility to seek treatment for an eating disorder.

According to TMZ, the 26-year-old checked into the Timberline Knolls treatment center outside Chicago in the early morning hours on Jan. 3.

The singer reportedly told the website that she was seeking treatment because she wanted to get back into the practice of learning to love herself and her body.

"I'm a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself, but I've found it hard to practice," she said. "I'll be unavailable for the next 30 days, seeking treatment for my eating disorder-to learn to love myself again, exactly as I am."

The singer has looked notably thinner lately, including in the music video for Timber, the song she recorded with Pitbull.

Timberline Knolls is located in Lemont, Ill. According to their website, they are a private, residential treatment center for women struggling with a range of disorders including eating disorders, alcoholism, co-occurring disorders, drug addiction, mood disorders, trauma and PTSD.

Other famous celebs who have checked into the facility to seek treatment for issues include Demi Lovato, who also sought treatment for an eating disorder while there in 2010. She also received treatment for behaviors like self-injuring, and self-medicating with drugs and alcohol.

Lovato has since recovered from these and re-invented her image with a judging spot on The X-Factor, as well as several hit songs, including Give Your Heart a Break, Skyscraper, and Heart Attack.

Other celebs who have sought treatment for eating disorders have included Mary-Kate Olsen, Kelly Clarkson, Portia de Rossi, Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi, Bethenny Frankel and Jamie-Lynn Sigler.
