NBC's Hannibal is gearing up for its second season, and little spoilers continue to leak out as filming continues.

The plot, which will pick up not long after the close of the inaugural season, will continue to follow Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) and FBI profiler Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) as the search for the Chesapeake Ripper becomes more complicated. Even though Will is locked up in the Baltimore Hospital for the Criminally Insane in lieu of the true cannibalistic killer, viewers shouldn't worry about the series becoming overly Lecter-centric.

"I think you could have a show entirely based around Hannibal, but it would be tricky. He needs a foil," Dancy explained to Zach Smith. "And if that balance change a bit in Season Two, I'm good with that as well. I think we've set it up for a very interesting and very different trajectory in the second season."

While Will is locked away and awaiting trial, he will create his own mind palace (similar to that of Hannibal in Thomas Harris' novels) in order to participate in a virtual-reality world, according to the A.V. Club. This could be why Graham's character received two promo profile shots - one in regular civilian clothing and another in an institutional jumpsuit.

Meanwhile, series creator Bryan Fuller recently released the title of the seventh episode. Dubbed "Yakimono," the title translates to name Japanese fried/grilled dish traditionally made with vegetables and either fish, shellfish, or meat.
