Beau Willimon Dishes On "Lots More To Come" Amid Recent Trailer
Zoe Barnes (Kate Mara) returns with more questions on what Francis is trying to do with his power, and will not stop to find the truth.
The trailer starts off with Francis taking an oath on discharging his duties and saying to the camera that "democracy is so overrated." Francis is starting a new life as vice president until he can erase his past when there's a mysterious connection with the congressional leadership.
When the president's confidante Raymond Tusk (Gerals McRaney) starts to take charge, it leads to a conspiracy with the public asking questions on what Francis's connection is with that conspiracy. It appears that Tusk is trying to convince the president to change his mind about Francis's leadership and Claire wants to make him suffer. This leaves Francis caught between two emotions: proud and terrified.
More controversy is brought up, including scandal, secrets and murder. The audience is left wondering if Barnes will reveal anything to the press, if she will believe that she was part of a dangerous situation and if Claire is going to stay by her husband's side.
The trailer ends with a tag-line: "Hunt or be hunted."
