FX's Sons of Anarchy will be heading into its seventh and final season with several unanswered questions, including what lies ahead for recently widowed SAMCRO president Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam).

While Jax's future fate is still unknown, TVLine reported on Jan. 7 that actress Drea de Matteo (Wendy) has been promoted to series regular, which undoubtedly adds more backing to initial speculation that he may be rekindling the flame with the mother of Abel, his first child.

However, Wendy, who is a recovered junkie, will surely be taking on a beefier role in order to reaffirm her status as the mother of the child, which she's attempted to fight for in the recent past.

If Wendy is coming aboard to be a part of Abel's life, it seems realistic that she may also play a part in the raising of Jax's child with the late Tara (Maggie Siff), Thomas.
