'Man of Steel 2' News: Both Lex Luthor and Doomsday to be the Villains of 'Batman vs. Superman'? [VIDEO]
New details about the villains set to appear in Man of Steel 2 have been released via a Hollywood producer.
Movie producer Daniel Alter, who has tweeted previous scoop about Man of Steel 2 before (such as the inclusion of Wonder Woman), tweeted this week that there would be more than one villain in the movie.
When a fan asked Alter on Twitter about the villains in Man of Steel 2, including Bryan Cranston's potential casting as Lex Luthor, he had a few interesting details to reveal.
"Cranston's name popped up way back/don't know whats happening. More than 1 villain tho. #DOOMSDAY is coming," he tweeted.
Doomsday is the infamous villain who killed Superman in the comics in 1992. A Kryptonian experiment gone wrong, Doomsday is essentially a killing machine with monstrous strength.
As for the legitimacy of Alter's comments, it is unlikely that Warner Bros. wants anyone leaking out details about the film, so Alter could just be speculating on rumors.
However, the tweet was backed up by Batman-on-Film, which has become a reputable source for inside knowledge about Man of Steel 2.
Presuming Doomsday will be in the film, he will very likely be joined by Lex Luthor, Superman's most iconic villain. Man of Steel 2 director Zack Snyder has all but confirmed that Luthor will be a villain in the film, in addition to the widespread rumors about who would be playing him.
