A Guardians of the Galaxy trailer may not be too far off for those Marvel fans clamoring to get a glimpse of the new Phase Two film.

Thanks to a recent Facebook post by writer/director James Gunn, it appears that the film's trailer will be ready to role by time Captain America: The Winter Solider hits theaters in early April. Gunn shared a NASA image of the Hand of God Pulsar Wind Nebula, joking that it was a complex bit of Marvel press for Guardians, during which Doctor Who's Karen Gillan will portray the space pirate Nebula.

"We're saving Rocket [Raccoon] for our second Nebula, which won't be out for a couple months," Gunn joked while making a possible reference to the film's upcoming trailer.

Meanwhile, actor Chris Pratt told MTV he is eagerly preparing for the film's international press tour. However, potential viewers who are unfamiliar with Guardian plotline from comic books shouldn't worry about being unable to understand and relate to the August release.

"It's based on a comic that has a certain following but nobody should feel bad if they've never heard of it because we're expecting that most people haven't," said Kevin Feige, Marvel Studio's president of production, according to SFX Magazine (via Comic Book Movie). "Guardians is unique because while the hero Star-Lord is human and from Earth, hopefully the audience can relate to the adventures that he goes on as they see it through his eyes."

As Marvelites wait Gunn to pull the trigger on the trailer release, fans can get a peek at The Collector (Benicio Del Toro) in the mid-credit scene from Thor: The Dark World (see video below).

Guardians of the Galaxy is set to debut on Aug. 1.
