'CSI' Season 14 Spoilers: Is John Merchiston Alive Or Dead Following Car Explosion [PHOTOS]? Whistle Blower Causes Problems For Las Vegas Team [VIDEO]
John Merchiston is making an explosive reappearance on this week's CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
The reporter made his debut in last season's "Skin in the Game," and stuck around as the Las Vegas team solved the Dante's Inferno killings in the season 14 premiere. After a long absence, Merchiston (James Callis) will return and D.B. Russell's (Ted Danson) team will shed some light on his recent affairs as they attempt to track down his killer.
Merchiston will apparently meet his end in a car crash, although all may not be as it seems. The reporter seems alive and well in recent episode stills (see gallery above), and he will visit with Julie Finlay (Elisabeth Shue)
as the CSI crew works to find evidence that points to something other than Merchiston's bad driving as the culprit in his alleged death (see video below).
Meanwhile, the governement is hostile towards the investigation, and D.B. Russell's involvement will put him in a bit of tight spot. As the case intensifies, the head honcho will receive a thinly veiled threat to his current lifestyle before he has his rights read to him by the Feds.
