Grammy Nominations 2014 Predictions: Jay Z & Beyonce Performance And Album Of The Year Award Discussed [VIDEO]
It's hard to believe the 2014 Grammy Awards are just a couple of days away but there is definitely high anticipation for a great show.
Jay Z and Beyoncé are the newest confirmed performers and according to Billboard will hit the Grammy stage together, which might be a first for them.
There has been a lot of speculation as to what the power couple will actually perform. While Jay Z is featured on Beyoncé's newest hit Drunk in Love there are so many options for them as they have several other songs together, including Crazy in Love, Deja Vu and Bonnie and Clyde. It wouldn't be much of a surprise if they stuck to doing a medley of some of their hits.
Taylor Swift, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Daft Punk, Lamar, Lorde, Paul McCartney and Roar singer Katy Perry are other performers slated to hit the stage at the Grammys.
Jay Z just might be the man of the night as he's leading the nominations this year with a total of nine, including Best Rap Album for his newest project Magna Carta...Holy Grail.
That album is up against Drake's Nothing Was the Same, Kendrick Lamar's Good Kid, M.A.A.D City, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' The Heist and Kanye West's Yeezus-- all of which are considerably steep competition.
While Jay Z has so many hits from the album, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis came on the scene with a vengeance with popular songs like Thrift Shop, White Walls and of course Can't Hold Us. They might be the one taking home the trophy for that category this year. The duo's announcement that they would be going on a hiatus after the award show could also propel fan support.
Be sure to tune in to the 56th Annual Grammy Awards Sunday night on CBS at 8/7c.
