Amanda Bynes Officially Charged for DUI, Aks Obama to Fire Police Officer
Actress Amanda Bynes asked President Barack Obama on Twitter, to step in her DUI case after charges were officially filed Tuesday.
Bynes, 26, was charged on Tuesday with a misdemeanor for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs in Los Angeles on April 6.
"Hey Barack Obama...I don't drink. Please fire the cop who arrested me. I also don't hit and run. The end," she tweeted on Tuesday.
Bynes was attempting to pass a police car as it prepared to make a right turn at around 3 a.m. in West Hollywood when her black BMW collided with the right rear panel of the police cruiser, causing minor damage to both vehicles, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department report says.
She was arrested after she refused to make a Breathalyzer drug test.
Recently she tweeted that the DUI was false.
"I can't help but laugh at all of you writing fake stories about me. I was not in any hit and runs. I don't drink so the DUI is false," she wrote on Twitter.
If Bynes is convicted she could go to jail for 48 hours, get three years probation and a nine-month alcohol program.
Bynes is best known for starring in "What I Like About You," and "Easy A."
