With the new tagline 'Fight Your Fate,' the Vikings season 2 premiere is drawing ever closer.

Set to air on Feb. 27, "Brother's War" will kick off the next 10-episode run of the Canadian historical drama. The Michael Hirst-created series will continue to follow the exploits of Ragnar Lodbrok (Travis Fimmel), his family, and those who wield power around them, this time picking up far from the warrior's home in Kattegat.

Instead, Ragnar and King Horik's (Donal Logue) warriors will still be in Gotaland embroiled in an ongoing dispute with Jarl Borg (Thorbjorn Harr)

Although a multi-year time jump has been promised to kick off the season, Hirst has hinted that it may not feature right away.

"I left a lot of cliffhangers at the end of episode nine, which I thought was incredibly clever of me. I thought they'd just have to commission a second season," said creator Michael Hirst, according to Huffington Post. "The answer in a way is that those were issues that needed a fairly immediate resolution and that had to happen."

Based on new promo shots, it does look like viewers will be getting a glimpse of the Ragnar vs. Rolo (Clive Standen) battle that was premiered at last summer's San Diego Comic-Con. However, Ragnar will continue to be far from home for a good portion of the season, and Spoiler TV reports that Rollo will need to find a way to lead in his absence.

A new promo (see video below) for the Canadian historical drama is packed with subtle clues about what fates await Ragnar Lodbrok (Travis Fimmel) and co. in the coming season, but you would have to be well versed in Norse mythology to suss them out (click here for a guide).
