Star Wars: Episode VII director J.J. Abrams has opened up with his reasons about why only so much information is being revealed about the highly-anticipated film.

He had a conversation with The Daily Telegraph Jan. 25, where he talked about why news about the film is being kept a secret.

"[Star Wars] has always been a more open, fan-engaged universe than I've been used to, there'll be some sort of compromise...there's a purity in not knowing every little thing [about a story ahead of time]," Abrams said. "We're living in a moment of instant information and a sense of entitlement to that information. I think it's nice to remember that there's nothing wrong with a sense of anticipation."

It was rumored on Monday that Mara Jade could make an appearance in the next "Star Wars" film.

A source commented on a blog on StarWars7News.com where the information was revealed.

"It can be said, that Rebels will introduce Mara Jade, into the film canon, sometimes appearing with the Inquisitor and she will be the living mother of Ben Skywalker," the source wrote.

It's rumored that this information is true since the website later posted an update about the potential character introduction.

"After the article was posted we received some more tips that there's definitely some truth in this," the site wrote. "It comes from people close to the production. And here's something more- not only Star Wars: Rebels will have a connection with the new trilogy but also some of the new upcoming Clone Wars bonus content..."

Star Wars: Episode VII is set to hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
