'Man of Steel 2' News: Henry Cavill Already Filming 'Batman vs. Superman' in Michigan? [VIDEO]
Man of Steel 2 star Henry Cavill is in Detroit and may already be filming for the highly anticipated blockbuster.
Cavill, who will reprise his role as Superman in Man of Steel 2, was spotted in Detroit this month, the primary filming location of the movie. An IMDb user recently posted a photo and description of his meeting Cavill at a local bar. The user assured his fellow Man of Steel fans that the movie was still a go.
"Given all the new seemingly negative word around the development; I wanted to reassure anyone who even remotely cares that M[an] O[f] S[teel] 2 is on like donkey kong. I got the word from the man himself," the user said.
The user went on to confirm that Cavill and the crew have been filming in Pontiac, Mich.
Writer Eric Lacy of MLive confirmed to Henry Cavill News that production will be in Michigan for a while.
"Looks like Superman could be in Detroit up to 10 months," he said.
In other Man of Steel 2 news, actor Colin Farrell has voiced his approval for the casting of Ben Affleck as Batman.
"Good luck to him," Farrell told TotalFilm. "I think he'll do a great job. As an actor, I don't know that I know anyone that's improved as much as he has. That sounds like a s- thing to say... I think he'll kill as Batman. I hope he does and shuts the naysayers up."
Man of Steel 2 is scheduled for release in theaters on May 6, 2016.
