'Man of Steel 2' News: Matthew Goode Up for a Role in 'Batman vs. Superman'? [VIDEO]
A new report is claiming that actor Matthew Goode might be up for a part in Man of Steel 2, a.k.a. Batman vs. Superman.
Goode is allegedly being considered for an unnamed part in Man of Steel 2, according to a source via Comic Book Movie. The actor has been considered for other superhero parts, including Superman, which ultimately went to Henry Cavill and Batman, which went to Ben Affleck.
Goode also played Ozymandias in the 2009 film adaptation of the Watchmen comic. That film also happens to have been directed by Zack Synder, who will direct Man of Steel 2.
Over the course of his career, Goode has played in many romantic comedies, including Leap Year and Chasing Liberty and a variety of dramas, such as Stoker and A Single Man.
As discussed in the comments section of Comic Book Movie, Goode could potentially play any one of the characters in the Superman or Justice League universe, from Lex Luthor to Green Lantern to Nightwing.
Production is reportedly starting up on Man of Steel 2, which is set to be filmed in Michigan. Cavill was recently spotted in Michigan greeting fans and taking pictures, suggesting that he's getting ready to film.

Other actors announced to be in Man of Steel 2 include Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White and Diane Lane as Martha Kent.
Man of Steel 2 is scheduled for release in theaters on May 6, 2016.
