Singer Jewel has fixed her teeth for a role in a biopic to portray June Carter Cash. The singer-songwriter proudly tweeted a picture of her new gnashers on Tuesday. "Here I am as June in my trailer with her blue eyes and perfect teeth #ringoffire," Jewel tweeted.

However, it seems that her teeth have not been permanently changed. She is said to be transforming it back to her crooked teeth after filming the role.

The 38-year-old singer will play the main character in Lifetime's Television movie "The June Carter Cash Story". She is expected to finish filming the movie by the end of this month. The movie will premiere later this year.

Jewel is known for her crooked teeth and embracing them. Unlike other Hollywood A-listers who go for the pearly white look with impeccable teeth, Jewel has always been open and proud of her teeth. She told Jimmy Kimmel in 2009: "People are always asking me, why don't I get my teeth fixed...Well, I'm proud of my flaws and you should be too. Not only do I think my horrible snaggletooth is uniquely beautiful, it also comes in handy." She attributed her teeth for landing a role in "Ride With the Devil" in 1999.

The singer has received four Grammy Award nominations and has sold over 27 million albums worldwide. Her debut album "Pieces of You" released in 1995 became one of the best-selling debut albums of all time. It went platinum 15 times.

She is currently a co-host and judge on the songwriting competition reality television series "Platinum Hit" on Bravo.

Jewel married pro rodeo cowboy Ty Murray in 2009 after ten years of dating. They have a son, who will be one next month.
