NCIS: Los Angeles' Eric Beale may be getting involved in some rooftop danger during "Zero Days."

While Callen (Chris O'Donnell) can be seen precariously traversing window ledges in "Between the Lines," the entire team will find themselves reaching new heights in episode 18 (filmed as 517).

The first solo script from Andrew Bartels, "Zero Days" appears to take place largely in and around a skyscraper.

"All together #ZeroDays has 68 stories. And I don't mean narrative. #NCISLA," tweeted Bartels during filming on Tuesday.

Shooting began on Jan. 31 and Bartels quickly gave his followers a hint of the action that will soon unfold on their TV screens. With the skyline of Los Angeles in the background, the remnants of a gunfight splinter across a high-rise window in one new photo while an empty office conference room sits quietly in another (see gallery above). Meanwhile, other crewmembers posted pictures of cityscapes captured as the cast participated in a night shoot at the top of Bartels' 68 stories.

The cast then moved down to the roof of the Rosslyn Hotel in San Pedro, Calif. to film scenes that included Barrett Foa's Eric Beale. Although generally confined to Ops, it looks like the tech operator will have a chance to head out in the field.

"Will Hetty send Nell and Eric into the field to help solve a case? #keepwatching #staytuned #NCISLA," teased executive producer John Peter Kousakis on Saturday, presumably in reference to Eric's imminent rooftop appearance.
