Captain America: The Winter Soldier has been confirmed as the lead in to The Avengers: Age of Ultron, and viewers may even be able to catch a glimpse of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch during the Captain America post-credit scene.

Although Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios' president of production, previously stated that "Cap 2 is the link between Avengers and Avengers : Age of Ultron," Disney's CEO Robert Iger has now echoed these sentiments.

Captain America 2 will "set critical events in motion" that will then transfer into Joss Whedon's sequel to 2012's The Avengers, according to The Wrap.

Meanwhile, fans may get to see Magneto's twin children and newest additions to the Avengers' team following the Winter Soldier credits. Although the new Caps film will hit theaters over a year before the debut of Age of Ultron, Comicbook.com has stated that Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Scarlett Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) may not only be mentioned during the film, but may also be seen after it.

Considering Marvel has a tendency of dropping clips for upcoming project into post-credit scenes two films before a premiere, this seems like a very likely rumor.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier enters theaters on April 4 while The Avengers: Age of Ultron will open on May 1, 2015. Click the video below for a preview of the new Caps adventure.
