Kandi Burress, Cynthia Bailey Fight: 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' Cast Members Are 'Good' & They Don't 'Normally Fight'?
While The Real Housewives of Atlanta fight left the ladies and cast members at odds with each other, it made history for the popular Bravo series, The Wrap reported earlier this week.
Even though the fight meant good news for the show, Cynthia Bailey, whose husband got caught up in the fight before the couple went head to head with co-star Kandi Burruss, told E! News the way the show received the milestone was "bittersweet."
"Unfortunately, the whole fighting thing is something we don't normally do. I don't think that's why people watch us, but at the same time I guess that's why so any people tuned in. As part of the cast, I personally don't celebrate it just in terms of the content. So, yay, we got good ratings-- but I don't really feel good about what happened."
Bailey also opened up about how she and Burruss are these days after the two got into a huge screaming match in the popular episode.
"We're in a good place. [The fight] was a hurdle we had to get over. But at the end of the day, she's a rational person and I'm very rational and with time we were able to move past it."
Part two of the fight that aired Sunday Feb. 9 brought in the show's largest audience ever. More than 4.6 million people watched, including 2.6 million who are in the coveted Adults 18-49 demographic. On top of that, BravoTV.com benefited from the episode as well. It had the highest page views and streaming video Sunday.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta is the most popular of the Real Housewives franchise and it also brings in the most viewers on any of Bravo's other series.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs on Bravo Sunday nights at 8/7.c BE sure to catch up with Enstars for updates.
