Former Bachelorette star Trista Sutter slammed current Bachelor Juan Pablo Galavis' comments on whether he believes there should be a gay bachelor.

'Bachelor' Contestant Defends Juan Pablo

"Everyone deserves love," Sutter said in an interview with Radar Online. "No matter your race, gender, sexual preference, to me, the show is about love and finding love. I'm up for anything."

Yet, Sutter, who met her husband Ryan on The Bachelorette in 2003, also revealed that she still watch the show and will "be a loyal fan of the show until the last episode."

Juan Pablo Says He'd Rather End Up Alone

Galavis found himself in a bit of hot water recently when he said he does not think gay people should be on the popular ABC show.

"I respect [gay people], but I honestly don't think it is a good example for kids to watch that on TV. Obviously people have their husband and wife and kids and that is how we are brought up. Now there is fathers having kids and all that, and it is hard for me to understand that too in a sense of a household having peoples. Two parents sleeping in the same bed and the kid going to bed. It is confusing," Galavis said.

Shortly after his statements went viral, the former Venezuelan soccer star issued an apology and said his words were misconstrued because of a language barrier between English and Spanish.

"Everyone knows English is my second language and my vocabulary is not as broad as it is in Spanish and, because of this, sometimes I use the wrong words to express myself," he said in his apology.
