Kanye West Shoes 'Nike Air Yeezy II' Launch: Pair Sells for $90K [PHOTO]
Kanye West launched his limited edition of Nike sneakers on Saturday amid heavy anticipation which included bidders paying thousands of dollars for a pre-ordered pair.
A pre-ordered pair of West's Nike Air Yeezy 2 sneakers went for $90,300 on eBay on Wednesday, after 84 bids.
The sneakers sell for a retail price of $245. When the shoes debuted on Saturday in select Nike stores, people were reportedly camping to get a pair of the shoes, according to TMZ.

The Nike Air Yeezy II bring the inspiration from the late 1980's basketball foundation of the original Nike Air Yeezy.
According to Nike, it blends classic Nike court breakthroughs with hype.
"Armored animalistic forms imbue the upper. Hand skived anaconda textured leather quarter panels are embellished with a debossed Vac-Tech Nike Swoosh," Nike said on its website. The molded rear is sculpted with a reptilian inspired spike, while a strap with scaled down spikes.
"Fit was essential to the design with the goal to make the shoe slimmer than the original by tailoring it to Kanye West’s foot," Nike says.
The Nike Air Yeezy II in the Platinum and the Black edition will release June 9th at select global retailers in limited numbers.
