12 Years a Slave standout Lupita Nyong'o is on track to win Best Supporting Actress for her role as an abused slave. This is the actress' debut film role.

Best Actor seems to be locked up for Matthew McConaughey for his star performance as Ron Woodroof in Dallas Buyers Club. His co-star Jared Leto is also the favorite in Best Supporting Actor for his role as a transvestite named Rayon.

In the Best Actress race, no one seems poised to beat Cate Blanchett for her role as a neurotic socialite in Blue Jasmine.

In Original Screenplay and Adapted Screenplay, the frontrunners are Spike Jonze for Her and John Ridley for 12 Years a Slave.

The wildly popular Frozen is practically a lock to win Best Animated Feature, while the brutal The Act of Killing is the frontrunner for Best Documentary Feature.
