‘Amazing Race’ Season 2014 Spoilers: Dave And Connor ‘Couldn’t Ask For More” In ‘All-Stars’ Return? [VIDEO]
As fans of The Amazing Race gear up to see another segment of teams racing around the world for a $1 million prize, one team is just grateful to be given a second chance at the race.
The Cowboys Say "It's Anyone's Race?"
Dave and Connor O'Leary, who withdrew from season 22 after 4 legs when Dave suffered from a ruptured Achilles tendon, will be back for the All-Stars season, and in a pre-race interview with CBS, they expressed their gratitude to be back in the race.
"We're here clearly to win the race, but to have the chance to do this as a father and son, to travel around the world, to see incredible places, see the people and the cultures, and then do amazing things on top of it...I mean, who could ask for more than that?" Dave said.
The Afghanimals Say They're "Not Worried" About Other Teams?
Connor agreed with his father, saying, "We were here a year ago, so it's a pretty quick turnaround but you know, to be back and to have my dad healthy, we're excited to run."
The father/son duo were also reminiscent about their last time on the race, which saw them continuing for two additional legs after Dave's injury and placing first in each one.
"From a father's perspective, running the race with my son was one of the greatest things I've ever done," Dave said. "And to get to the mat in Vietnam, knowing we had to leave because I've injured myself, was one of the most difficult things I've ever had to do, and you know I was heartbroken, and emotionally it was incredibly tough for me to say that we withdraw from the race. And to know that my son had worked so hard to be there and that he wasn't going to have the opportunity to finish it because I was injured was really disappointing, and like I said, it was heartbreaking."
Early spoilers however have indicated that the father/son won the race this time around, or at the very least have made it to the final three.
Photographic proof obtained from fans who were present at different locations where the race took place showed Dave and Connor in Rome, which is reportedly one of the later legs in this installment of the race.
