Bethenny Frankel Miscarriage: Actress Opens Up About Losing Baby Girl
Bethenny Frankel revealed that she had a miscarriage after six weeks pregnant with her second child.
The TV reality actress -now talk show host- told Glamour magazine that she fell to pieces after learning that she would have had a girl and couldn't help but blame herself.
In an interview on Glamour's July issue, Frankel opened up about the tragic experience and explained that because of her age and complications during her first pregnancy, the doctor told her the second pregnancy was at "high risk."
She said she was still bleeding and felt nauseated and uncomfortable.
"I said to Jason. I felt seven months pregnant even though I was six weeks along," she tells the magazine.
Frankel said that after paying a visit to her doctor she was told "You're 41. You had bleeding. There's nothing you could have done."
"And I hadn't done anything," she said. "Since I'd found out, I'd been lying down for an hour or two every day and lettings others take up the slack. But I blamed myself—of course I did."
Ten days later she found out the baby was a girl.
"But all I heard was 'female,' and I fell to pieces," Frankel told Glamour magazine.
Frankel's striking confession may explain the pregnancy rumors that surface over Memorial Day when she was photographed with a round belly in California.
The reality TV actress who stars in Bravo's "Bethenny Ever After," was spotted with her husband Hoppy and their 2-year-old daughter, Bryn wearing a clingy stripped maxi dress that highlighted a "bump."
However, a source close to the star had told Celebuzz that she was not pregnant.
The actress premiered her own TV talk show "Bethenny" on Monday on Fox.
