Chris Brown Rehab Sentence Over: Back to Music; Spotted Filming New Music Video for 'Loyal' [PHOTOS]
Chris Brown has "officially" finished his 90-day rehab sentence and now he's moving forward with his life.
The singer entered a rehab facility on his own, shortly after getting arrested in Washington D.C. after he allegedly assaulting a man during Howard University's homecoming weekend.
But, reports have indicated that Brown will be extending his stay in rehab.
"It was his choice," a source close to the musician told E! News. "He will come out soon."
His continued rehab stay won't keep him from doing music, as he was recently spotted at the Universal City Walk shooting the new video for his new single, Loyal, featuring Tyga. He snapped pictures with fans and even one of his dancers.
The song will appear on his upcoming album, X which will release on May 5.
On Saturday, he took to Twitter to announce the release date and share his thoughts on X.
"X is by far my best album yet.... Setting the date for MAY 5,' he wrote, also including a black and white shot of himself.
Last April, Brown discussed how X will be much different than his previous albums.
"For this album, I wanted to have the same mentality as I did with the first album - me being green, me not thinking I know what's hot and what's next, me just being Chris Brown. I think this will show my vocal ability a lot more. I've developed a falsetto, I can sing at a higher register, and I can elaborate more on my skill," Brown said.
