'Star Wars Episode 7' Plot: Leading Female Actress 'Already Been Cast' For Upcoming Movie? [VIDEO]
It appears that Star Wars: Episode VII may have found its lead female actress.
It's been rumored that there will be a leading female who has been cast although it is unknown who the character and actress are.
Bleeding Cool revealed the information on Tuesday.
Natalie Portman Dishes On Episode VII
"I think the big news about Episode VII casting will be the female lead, though folk might not realize it until after they see the film," the site wrote. "If everything we're hearing is true, she's already been cast too, so I wouldn't be surprised is word sneaks out pretty soon."
It has been previously reported that Carrie Fisher would reprise her role as Princess Leia in the seventh installment although it us unknown how big her part will be.
Last Tuesday, Den of Geek also reported on casting rumors, saying that auditions are happening and one of the available roles is Princess Leia. Considering that Fisher is supposed to play that character, there's a possibility that the rumored role will be a younger version of the princess or the daughter of Leia and Han Solo.
While it has been rumored that Jack Reynor from Transformers: Age of Extinction would be taking a part in the film, it looks like that won't be happening.
"There is no truth in that," a spokesperson said. "Jack is not taking on a role in the latest Star Wars film."
Star Wars: Episode VII is set to hit theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
