'The Bachelor' 2014: Former 'Bachelorette' Defends Juan Pablo 'People Are Quick to Judge' [VIDEO]
Former Bachelorette star Jillian Harris has come to current Bachelor Juan Pablo's defense against his critics.
Andi Dorfman Slams Juan Pablo For Not Looking For a 'Wife'
Harris told Radar Online in an article published Saturday, "It's a difficult position to be in for him. Just being on the show and being in the public eye, I've realized how quickly people are to judge and how awful it feels when people say mean things. I don't think he is like all of the other Bachelors and Bachelorettes. I don't think he is like the rest of the family."
Harris added the reason she believes the former Venezuelan soccer star gets so much criticism for being "selfish" is because he has his own way of thinking.
Andi Dorfman Mocks Juan Pablo on Twitter
"And I think in a way, if he is selfish, it's because he is a dad. Just because there are 30 girls on the show, it doesn't guarantee that he is going to fall in love."
While she defended his actions and words, Harris questioned if Juan Pablo was a good fit to star in the hit ABC reality show.
"Juan Pablo's probably not the best Bachelor. I think in Juan Pablo's situation, he put his foot down and a lot of times and said, 'No, this is the way it is.' All of us Bachelor and Bachelorettes try to ignore everything around us, but it just seems like maybe this time, it just didn't go as smooth as it was supposed to."
One of Juan Pablo's biggest critics is former Bachelor contestant Andi Dorfman, who quit the show after a "disaster" overnight date with Juan Pablo.
A sneak peek of the Women Tell All special set to air Monday March 3 shows Dorfman calling out Juan Pablo for not stressing enough that he is looking for a "wife."
"We all came here looking for a husband. Very seldom did you use the word wife, and I don't know if it's you weren't looking for a wife and I think a lot of us are on the same page as far as you not really taking the time to get to know us."
