The Blacklist's Tom Keen definitely isn't who he claims to be, but his true identity still remains a mystery.

Did Red Tell The Truth About His Family On 'The Blacklist'? James Spader Explains Ramification's Of Deaths

Red (James Spader) has repeatedly told Liz Keen (Megan Boone) not to trust her husband, and it turns out the master criminal wasn't just trying to stir up trouble. Thanks to Jolene/Lucy Brooks' (Rachel Brosnanhan) meddling, viewers now know that the Tom (Ryan Eggold) is actually targeting the FBI profiler. Who the supposed schoolteacher is working for, however, is still a major unknown.

Fans may not have to wait too long to find out Tom's ultimate mission, however. When Tom shows his true colors, Eggold implies that there won't be any doubt as to what he stands for.

Which Blacklist Member Is Lucy Brooks/Jolene Associated With?

"If indeed Tom is who he says he is and is some kind of assassin or con man, Tom's going to flip...you're going to see a side of Tom you've never seen before," Eggold teased in a Beyond the Blacklist featurette.

While the revelation of Tom's double life is concerning, it looks like Lucy Brooks' involvement is what fans should really be concerned about. Brooks ultimate endgame appears to involve Red, so are Tom an Liz just pawns for her to manipulate in the meantime?

"What is Jolene's importance to Red? There's much more darkness to her than is at first apparent," warns executive producer John Eisendrath.

The Blacklist airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET on NBC. Click the video below to see a preview for the series' next episode, "Mako Tanida."
