Brooklyn Nine-Nine will return to FOX for a second season.

The Andy Samberg drama received an early renewal alongside with its Tuesday night dance partner, New Girl. Meanwhile, The Mindy project and The Following each received a third season pickup.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine hit the air as a freshman sit-com last fall, and the star-studded cop comedy quickly snagged Golden Globes for Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy and Best Actor - Television Series Musical or Comedy (Andy Samberg).

Brought to life by Parks and Recreation creator Michael Schur and writer Dan Goor, Brooklyn Nine-Nine follows the exploits of Detective Jake Peralta (Samberg) and his coworkers Detective Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz), Sergeant Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews), Detective Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero), Detective Charles Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio), Gina Linetti (Chelsea Peretti), and the expressionless Captain Ray Holt (Andre Braugher).

The cast and crew took to Twitter on Friday night to celebrate their continued success.

"CWAZY PSYCHED," Peretti tweeted in a nod to the series' March 4 episode Kwazy Cupckaes shtick, adding, "OH DANG I MISSPELLED IT - MY B - I MEANT "KWAZY PSYCHED" was so focused on the backwards W I str8 up forgot the K #basic."

Meanwhile, Fumero also joined in on the all-caps excitement.

"IM. SO. FREAKIN. HAPPY. !!!!!!! #Brooklyn99 #Season2," Fumero tweeted.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine airs Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m. ET on FOX. Scroll through the gallery above to see photos from the series' next episode, "Fancy Brugdom."
