Captain America: The Winter Soldier will undoubtedly have a major effect on Marvel's Agents of SHIELD, but it looks the ABC series will be lending a few plot points to the upcoming film as well.

The sequel to 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger premiered at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood on Thursday, and one of Marvel's most well known SHIELD agents was on hand. While it is still unknown if Coulson (Clark Gregg) will be making an appearance in the upcoming film, Gregg did take a moment to explain how Caps latest adventure is related to his current TV series.

"There's enough chaos [on Agents of SHIELD]," Gregg told Yahoo! Movies, possibly referencing his team's current battle with C.E.N.T.I.P.E.D.E. and the Clairvoyant. "I think that's getting explored in this movie tonight."

Just as SHIELD will affect Winter Solider, Captain America's (Chris Evans) upcoming disagreement with Nick Fury and his organization will have its own ramifications in the world of SHIELD.

"If anyone sees a trailer for Captain America, you'll notice that SHIELD is a huge part of what is happening in the movie...so definitely there's a crossover of things happening. I can't tell you how much, but I can tell you that it is insane," said Chloe Bennet (Skye), according to Zap2It. "It will heavily affect our characters, I think. Everyone, definitely go see Captain America 2 and then you're going to definitely want to watch our show before and after."

Marvel fans can catch Captain America: The Winter Soldier starting April 4, and Agents of SHIELD every Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
