Jack Osbourne Has Multiple Sclerosis; Wants to 'Adapt and Overcome'
Jack Osbourne, son of Ozzy and Sharon Ozbourne, has officially been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. The 26-year-old reality star was diagnosed after losing 60% of his vision in his right eye. According to a recent interview with Hello! magazine, the 26-year-old spoke of how he has accepted his diagnosis.
He told the magazine about the emotions he felt as he was getting tested. Jack had only just recently become a father and was just beginning to take in fatherhood when he was diagnosed. "While I was waiting for the final results, I got really, really angry," he said. 'The timing was so bad.. I'd just had a baby.. work was going great ...I kept thinking 'Why now?' Then I got really sad for about two days, and after that I realized, being angry and upset is not going to do anything at this point ... if anything it's only going to make it worse. 'Adapt and overcome' is my new motto."
Jack and his fiance Lisa just recently had a baby daughter in April. She is reportedly being very supporting of Jack as his diagnosis came into light.
His famous parents, Ozzy and Sharon, are said to be struggling to accept the diagnosis. Sharon even blamed herself, wondering if she ate something she shouldn't have when she was pregnant. "I feel like it's somehow my fault." she said.
After going public with his diagnosis, Jack has received a lot of support. Jack tweeted: "Thank you all so much for the kind and inspirational words. It means a lot. #adaptandovercome."
