The Mentalist's Patrick Jane only has two days to solve an old cold case, but someone else will manage to incur a significant amount of carnage in that time.

Jane (Simon Baker) and the FBI have a mere 48 hours to stay the execution of a death row inmate during "Silver Wings of Time." While they're attempting to determine the prisoner's innocence, the Austin bomb squad will be scrambling to respond to an explosion that rocks a city bus stop.

Penned by Tom Szentgyorgyi ("My Blue Heaven") and Rebecca Cutter ("Red Listed"), the James Hayman ("Golden Hammer") directed episode was filmed during early February and the streets of Valencia, Calif. SCV TV managed to snag several snaps from shooting, and the images show a messy blast scene.

Surrounded by shattered glass, cracked benches and a broken sign, the Austin Metro's Warwick St. bus stop has definitely seen better days. With the bomb quad and Austin police on the scene, it is clear that the FBI will have plenty of company while they work the case.

What isn't entirely clear is how the death row inmate and the bus stomp bombing are connected.
