The 27-year-old serenaded his British fans at the National Indoor Harbor in Birmingham, England, with a tune presumably called Call On Me.

The ballad features Drake's vocals against a slow-tempo beat. Some of the lyrics include, "As long as I'm around, you can call on me."

At the Birmingham show, Drake reportedly told the crowd that when he's finished with the European leg of his tour, he will get back to work on a new album.

The new record would be the follow-up to the rapper's third studio album, Nothing Was The Same, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 200 chart when it was released last September. That marked the third time Drake debuted at the top of the charts.

Nothing Was The Same features songs similar to the new track he performed on Friday night. The entertainer has often been criticized for singing rather than rapping on some of his songs. Yet, he said he ignored those critics when making his third album.

"This is my f--cking moment to say if I wanted to rap all the time, really rap, I would, but I also love to make music," he told GQ last July about Nothing Was The Same. "I'm trying to get back to that kid in the basement. To say what he has to say. And I'm trying to make it last."
