In the last new episode before the series finale of How I Met Your Mother, Robin is set to have excessive wedding day jitters that may only be calmed after reassuring words from her ex-boyfriend, Ted, and his future wife.

Ted Telling Story Due To Alzheimer's?

A preview for the episode released March 22 already revealed that Robin would meet The Mother in the new episode, as she crashes into her while running away from the wedding.

The mother will calm her down and potentially help her return to the ceremony and get down the aisle to Barney.

Ted Rekindles His Flame With Robin?

"Sometimes, even three deep breaths can change everything," she said.

However, a new spoiler clip for the episode reveals that Ted also tried calming Robin down, before she took off and ran.

When Robin starts freaking out about how she and Barney don't make any sense together, Ted tries to calm her down by reminding her that love isn't something that usually does make sense.

"But love doesn't make sense! You can't logic your way into or out of it, love is totally nonsensical," he said. "But we have to keep doing it, or else we're lost and love is dead and humanity should just pack it in. Because love is the best thing we do. I know that sounds cheesy but it's just true."

"You love Barney. And he loves you. And that doesn't have to make sense-to make sense," he added.

However, despite his heartfelt speech, Robin may still suffer from a bad case of cold feet and try to run, which will lead into her meeting the Mother.

Robin meeting the mother in this episode also carries significance before the series finale because it means the Mother will have finally, and officially met everyone else before she meets Ted, something that was hinted at before the final season even premiered in September.

Lily met the mother during the season premiere episode and Marshall met her as he arrived at the Farhampton Inn for the wedding. Barney was revealed to have met her in a flashback from before he proposed to Robin.

Back in January, Bays and Thomas also teased that when Robin met the Mother, it would be a potentially life-changing moment.

"It happens late in the season, and there's definite significance," Thomas said to TV Line at the time.

Bays added, "It's going to be a bruising weekend for everybody. A lot goes down."

How I Met Your Mother airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
