Agent Lisbon is getting two new boyfriends on The Mentalist - one for her real life and one for an undercover assignment.

Patrick Jane Takes On An Explosive Case With A Timer On 'The Mentalist'

Dennis Abbott's (Rockmond Dunbar) team will head undercover to take down a murderous ring of art thieves during "Violets," and Lisbon (Robin Tunney) will be coupling up with Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) as part of their cover according to TV Line. Meanwhile, the former CBI agent will be looking for real-life romance with Agent Marcus Pike (Pedro Pascal) of the FBI's art squad.

Described by TV Line as a "charming man with integrity, a blue collar cop with FBI smarts," Pike will be taking on a role that many fans would like to see Jane take on in a permanent capacity. However, series creator Bruno Heller says Lisbon needs to stretch her wings in the love department if there is ever to be a any chance of a Jisbon pairing.

Will 'The Mentalist' Be Canceled

"In order for [Lisbon] to fulfill herself - even if she eventually fulfills herself with Jane, which she may or may not do - she has to find other relationships, other perspectives, other people who love her, just to feel fully who she is," Heller explained to Entertainment Weekly. "It's very important for her to be able to step away from Jane and see herself for herself."
