'Reign' Spoilers: King Henry Dies Before Season 2 After Not 'Letting Anyone Stand In His Way'? [VIDEO]
There has been a lot of speculation lately on which character would die next on Reign, and the latest candidate is King Henry.
Major Character To Die On Reign?
On Thursday, TVLine posted an interview with Alan Van Sprang, who plays the insane king, in which he discussed the possibility of his character sticking around for the second season or if his fate will end shortly.
"When I signed on, both Toby [Regbo] and myself sat down with the producers and said, 'We know that, historically, we're both donezo at some point.' But, honest everyone in the show dies," Sprang revealed. "It just depends on the direction they want to go in, and how quickly they want history to move along. We'll have to see next season how everybody's doing...I guess they would let us know at some point and give us notice, but no one's given me the death stare yet."
The actor also dished on the speech he made in a recent episode about not letting anyone control him, and how pretty much everyone on the show should be afraid at this point. It appears that King Henry penchant for domination is mainly due to how much he wanted Mary and Francis to wed.
"He's not letting anyone stand in his way. He originally established 'Team Frary,'" Sprang said. "He wanted the two of them together, but if that's not working out, he's going to try to establish another way to get to England and Scotland. It's killing the Court."
Reign airs on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
