After halting production over a pay dispute, CMT's breakout reality hit Party Down South will return for a second season and is slated to begin airing June 5.

The renewal announcement was made March 21, on the heels of the March 20 season 1 finale. According to TMZ, the announcement was made after the cast and CMT agreed to a 400 percent pay increase for the cast, taking them up to $2,000 per episode for season 2. CMT also reportedly agreed to give the cast members a ratings bonus.

'Party Down South' Season 2 Cast Dispute

It is unclear if the cast will discuss the issue when they appear on their special two-part reunion show, scheduled to begin March 27.

While acknowledging the pay issue on the reunion is unclear, another money issue will be brought up on the special when the fight over $100 that occurred between cast members Mattie Breaux and Josh Murray will be replayed.

In a clip for the reunion special, Josh is seen putting down $100 for beer money, which a drunk Mattie snatched up and then took with her as she dived into the water. Josh confronted her about returning the money, which she did, but he didn't let go of the matter and called her out in front of the entire group, claiming she never did return his money. After the tape plays back and shows he did indeed get his money back, Josh then goes over to Mattie and puts his head in her lap as he asks for forgiveness.

The premise of the show featured eight young Southerners move into a South Carolina Vacation home to party and live together for one summer. It starred 31-year-old Josh Murray from Louise, Miss., 28-year-old Lyle Boudreaux from Lafayette, La., 33-year-old Ryan "Daddy" Richards from Orange Beach, Ala., 26-year-old Walt Windham from Frankfort, Ky., 21-year-old Lauren White from Pineville, La., 24-year-old Mattie Breaux from Gheens, La., 23-year-old Taylor "Lil Bit" Wright from Rockingham, N.C. and 25-year-old Tiffany Heinen from Eunice, La.

The Season 1 reunion show airs Thursday, March 27 and Thursday, April 3, at 10 p.m. on CMT. Season 2 begins airing Thursday, June 5, and a special preview of the new season will air right after the CMT Music Awards on June 4.
