'Nashville' Season 2 News: ABC Series Takes A Break From The Drama To Focus On The Music? [VIDEO]
It appears that Nashville will focus on a new direction that will take a break from the drama while focusing on the other part of the show that makes it entertaining.
In a clip of the next episode that airs in three weeks, concert clips are seen, one of them including Juliette having a great time on stage while talking to the audience. As she comes down the stage, the voice-over in the clip mentions that the series will be "all about the music!"
This leads into Juliette performing her heart out as more moments on stage can be seen. The clip also mentions that backstage moments will happen as the cast dishes on the series, including the music.
Scarlett & Avery Hit 'Rocky' Patch?
"Sometimes the song is just perfect," Charles Esten (who plays Deacon) says.
This concert special, titled Nashville: On the Record, is set to air on Wednesday April 23 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
As for how the drama is going to go on in the series, it appears that Will and Brent may find themselves romantically linked together, which will likely cause misery for Layla.
"I honestly believe that he is deluding himself immensely," Chris Carmack said about his character Will to TVLine about having to hide his sexuality. "The career aspect of it is probably one of the biggest reasons he's deluding himself...But I don't think we could even remotely like Will if there wasn't some degree of self-delusion because what he's clearly gonna do to this young girl, it's gonna break her heart- or he's gonna end up on the tracks again. He can't live a lie for the rest of his life. It's ridiculous."
