Things are not looking up for Jarl Borg (Thorbjorn Harr) on Vikings.

Ragnar Loses Wessex?

Borg's betrayal of King Horik (Donal Logue) and Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) resulted in his beating and capture, but now that Ragnar has revealed his plans to execute him for threatening his family, it will set off a battle on how his death will be handed to him.

According to the Vancouver Sun, Horik and Ragnar could argue over whether Borg should be beheaded or hanged for his crimes, though neither of those punishments could be considered as sufficient enough for his betrayal and threats.

Athelstan Shows A New Side Of Himself?

While his life is on the line, the other characters will continue being busy further developing their relationships. While Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) continues to spend time with Ragnar and begins to ignore his mother Lagertha (Kathryn Winnick), things could change for him as he disappoints Ragnar in both battles and personal choices.

"He wants his sons to do well," Fimmel said back in February about his character's relationship with his sons over the course of the season. "He's very tough on them. He's very tough on Bjorn this year, his elder son. Especially, there's a fight that happens, and his son messes up, and it really, really annoys Ragnar because he doesn't want anything to happen to any of his children."

In that same February interview, Alyssa Sutherland, who plays Ragnar's current wife Princess Aslaug, also hinted that the relationships between the characters would add something interesting to the mix during the season.

"Hopefully, across the course of this season we'll be able to show [the audience] different sides of people and see if their perceptions can change, and I think the characters change along the way, as well," she said at the time. "The beginning to the end, I think, is a really interesting journey."
