Teresa Giudice Fraud Charges: Reality Star Told Daughters About Legal Woes on 'Real Housewives of New Jersey'? [VIDEO]
Teresa Giudice has made it clear that she is all about protecting her daughters and their privacy ever since she and her husband, Joe, pleaded guilty to fraud charges March 4.
Tereas Giudice Spends Quality Time With Daughters Before Sentencing?
That is probably why The Real Housewives of New Jersey cameras were not rolling when Teresa told the four girls about their legal troubles. Teresa's legal coach, Wendy Feldman, shut down speculation Friday that viewers would get to see the young ladies' reactions to the news that their parents could be going to jail.
She told RumorFix, "That's not true. Teresa is a mom and no matter what show she's on, she's not going to do something private in that forum if it's not best for them."
Teresa and Joe 'in Denial' About Legal Troubles?
Teresa also confirmed that the news wasn't broken to the girls in front of reality TV cameras. She took to her Twitter on March 7 and wrote, "Thank you all for your love & support of my family & my kids. You know how much they mean to me. I am keeping them protected & private.xx"
Fans will still get to see the drama surrounding their legal woes, but it won't be as juicy as one might think. Feldman commended the reality TV show's crew for their class and grace while filming the whole ordeal.
"Bravo and the production company treated this with respect. [It was] a collaborative effort. We were able to preserve things we needed to preserve. They don't want their Number One star not to be available."
As far as the sentencing Teresa will get for her illegal actions, her legal team is said to be hoping she dodges prison and gets house arrest, probation or community service instead. Joe on the other hand is more likely to get jail time up to five years. Their sentencing is scheduled for July 8.
Taping has just wrapped for the sixth season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
