'The Walking Dead' Season 5 Spoilers: People At Terminus are Not Cannibals? [VIDEO]
It looks like more theories are about to be brought up on who the people at Terminus are when The Walking Dead returns.
In the latest episode, there was a brief shot of what appeared to be a pile of bones, which gave suspicion that the people at Terminus are cannibals. But in an interview with TV Guide published on Monday, executive producer Robert Kirkman and showrunner Scott Gimple gave some more insight on what viewers should prepare for next season.
"Assume nothing," Kirkman said about Terminus. "I will say for the record that we're not revealing that these are the cannibals or outright denying that. You should plan for a surprise when we come back for Season 5."
Gimple added a little more information that some could have been wrong about before.
"I don't think there's anything in Episode 16 that showed them as definitely cannibals," he said. "One could suspect, but there are no eaten parts there."
When the new season of the series returns, Gimple mentioned that most of the questions will be answered pretty shortly.
"We're well into working on Season 5," he said. "The truth of what those people are about will come super quick. When people tune in in October, they're not going to have to wait a super long time to find out what they're about."
"The big question over the hiatus is what are the various reasons that they'd want these people to be alive?" Kirkman added. "What could their plans possibly be? There are some answers out there, but they may not be exactly what you think.
The Walking Dead Season 5 is expected to premiere in October on AMC.
