Seven competitors were left standing following American Idol's Thursday evening eliminations, and Malaya Watson was not one of them.

The young competitor joined a long list of Idol castoffs as she packed her bags in order to make room for the new Top 7.

In previous episodes, eliminated performers had the chance to be bailed out of their sinking ships by a friendly judge. Unfortunately for Watson, but that option went out the window when Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, and Harry Connick Jr. used their only Save to rescue Sam Woolf on April 3.

Judging from J Lo's on-air sobbing, it looks like she was regretting throwing away the Save so early in the season.

Watson, who performed Aretha Franklin's Ain't No Way for her audition piece, closed out her idol career with renditions of Breakaway and I'm Changing. On Wednesday night, the youngster threw back to the '80s with a performance of Chaka Khan's Through the Fire.

Watson was not the only Idol hopeful who suffered from a lack of votes this week. While the Bottom Two category replaced the regular Bottom Three, Watson still had company in the form of C.J. Harris.

American Idol will return to Fox next Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET with the Top 7 performers.
