Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) have their noses to the grindstone in the search for Abaddon (Alaina Huffman), but their best efforts appear to be falling short. Unfortunately for Dean, this mean his time with the Mark of Cain is growing longer, and a new sneak peek for "Meta Fiction" shows that it's presence is becoming a constant source of agitation for the hunter.
While the new clip for episode 18 focuses on the demonic aspect of the Winchester's work, "Meta Fiction" will be geared towards the heavenly end of the boys' problems. Castiel (Misha Collins) has stumbled into a leadership position once more and, as the rebel angel gathers followers, Metatron (Curtis Armstrong) try to convert him to his cause.
As Cas fends off Metatron's overtures of friendship, Sam and Dean will use a little holy oil in order to capture the ever-elusive Gadreel (Tahmoh Penikett). Although both brothers have a beef with Sam's former puppet master, episode stills show that Dean will be the one to take a stab at torturing answers out of the turncoat angel.
