‘Amazing Race’ 2014 Spoilers: Afghanimals Place First & Win Trip To Belize After U-Turning Cowboys? [VIDEO]
After beating the extremely strong team of cowboy brothers Jet and Cord McCoy once before, Afghani cousins Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran could repeat the same miracle once again on The Amazing Race All-Stars.
Rivalry Between The Cowboys and Afganimals Grows More Intense?
The two teams have one of the only rivalries this season, and things could be kicked up a notch with U-Turns coming into play in future legs of the competition. Zadran and Temory, collectively called "The Afghanimals," won the sixth leg in Sri Lanka, but have come in behind the Cowboys the other 6 legs.
In the leg they won, they hinted that they were sick of coming in behind the two, and could U-Turn them as a result if given the opportunity.
Afghanimals To Align With The Country Singers?
If they do U-Turn the Cowboys and the move works to their advantage, the Afghanimals could place first in yet another leg, and may potentially be winning a trip to Belize as a result.
When teams win first place on a leg, they win prizes ranging from cars, cash or trips paid for by race sponsor Travelocity. In their first leg win, Temory and Zadran each won individual trips for two to Berlin, Germany. However, in an April 12 post on his Instagram account, Zadran mentioned he was headed to a different location for a trip with his wife.
"Had a productive qtr this year now to take a #vacation in the beautiful country of #Belize with my adorable wife. #goodtimes here we come!! #yolo #amazingracejamal #tammythewifey #afghans #beingproductive #memories #snorkel #swim #skyhighclub #delta #workhardplayhard #iloveyoujohnwayneairport," he captioned a collage of photos featuring himself and his wife as they made their way to their trip.
Though Zadran lists his occupation as an entrepreneur and owner of Z.I.G. Real Estate and Car Dealership and could have paid for the trip on his own, destination prizes are popular on the race, meaning he and his cousin could have each won their own respective trips to the country.
The Amazing Race airs Sunday at 8 p.m. on CBS.
