Hank Azaria's character on Ray Donovan is seen threatening Ray in the first promo for the show's second season, which was released on April 13 by Showtime.

The preview has been spliced with that of Masters of Sex as both shows will be releasing on the same date during summer. In the clip Ray is up to his usual business as professional fixer to the stars but a few new characters who are meant to spell trouble for him are introduced.

Azaria plays James Cochran, who is playing the head of the Los Angeles division of the FBI. It is known that Azaria will appear in multiple episodes. In the video, Cochran is seen threatening to investigate Ray about something but the main man of the series quickly rebuffs: "You don't want to know what really happened."

Another new character portrayed by Vinessa Shaw makes an appearance in the clip. Shaw has signed on to play the role of a a Pulitzer award-winning Boston Globe journalist who is working on a book about Sully (James Woods) and the circumstances surrounding his death.

"There's a story here and you guys are really trying to keep me away from it," Shaw's character is seen telling Ray in the promo.

Sherilyn Fenn (Twin Peaks) will be playing Cochran's wife on the series.

The second season will premiere on July 13.

Ray Donovan airs on Sundays at 10 p.m. on Showtime.
