"Doing the movie was probably one of the best things ever, being in Vancouver, getting out of the music and just making it work was really good," she said. "I did like eight auditions, so I thought I would never get it. It was incredible that it worked out."
The film's executive producer, Dana Brunetti, previously revealed that the movie will be rated R and may be just what fans are hoping for. Previous reports stated that Universal planned to give the movie a NC-17 rating, which means the content is inappropriate for viewers under 17 years old.
"It's not a porno," Brunetti told Access Hollywood on the red carpet of the 2014 Oscars. "Yeah, but it's sexy and hot."
Fifty Shades of Grey, based on E. L. James' trilogy, hit theaters on Feb. 13, 2015. It also stars Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele and Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey.
