'Supernatural' Season 9 Spoilers: Is Gabriel Really Dead [POLL]? Cast & Crew Weigh In On The Future Of Richard Speight Jr's Angel [VIDEO]
Gabriel shocked Supernatural fans when he appeared in "Meta Fiction," but will the deceased archangel ever pop up again?

Thanks to Metatron (Curtis Armstrong), the Gabriel (Richard Speight Jr.) briefly found his way into the season 9 plotline. Killed of during season 5's "Hammer of the Gods," the Trickster (Richard Speight Jr.) became a pawn in the new god's little prank and was merely an illusion set up to fool Castiel (Misha Collins).
However, Gabriel didn't explicitly confirm his death when Cas asked, and his noncommittal eyebrow raise has left the door open for his return.

Jared Padalecki (Sam) is one member of the cast who is hoping that the candy-loving angel will pop back up in the near future.
"I LOVE [Speight's] wink-wink to [Collins] question of "are you really dead". I, for one, REALLY hope not! #Supernatural," Padalecki tweeted after Tuesday's episode.
Speight was recently seen on the Vancouver set of Supernatural as the series filmed for it's season finale, but executive producer Jim Michaels squashed any possible rumors of an upcoming appearance with a quick tweet.
"[Speight] is here to go through prep with Tom Wright during 9.23-he is NOT, repeat NOT, on camera as the Trickster," Michaels explained.
