An intense rivalry is set to heat things up on The Amazing Race: All-Stars as two strong teams begin duking it out in Orvieto, Italy.

Cowboys & Afghanimals Become Enemies?

While Brendon Villegas and Rachel Reilly have been less controversial during their second run on the race, the newlywed couple is getting tired of being near the bottom of the pack. And now, following a first-place finish in Rome, they may no longer be willing to play nice with their fellow strong competitors, particularly father/son team David and Connor O'Leary.

In a preview clip for the Sunday, April 20 episode, the two teams are seen having an altercation as they race on the next leg after it is revealed that the newlywed couple finds the father/son team to be a threat.

Afghanimals and Country Singers Form An Alliance?

At some point, it appears Brendon and Rachel choose to backstab the father/son team in some way. Considering U-Turns have yet to come into play, it is possible they will surface in this leg, and the newlyweds will U-turn the father/son team.

"Can you believe that?" Dave says to the Afghanimals as he jogs past them.

The betrayal appears to shake the confidence of the usually in-sync father/son team, as they are then shown arguing for the first time over who will complete a specific task.

In a voice-over however, Brendon and Rachel make no apologies for their actions.

"We're playing the exact same game," Reilly says.

"We're just playing it better," Villegas adds.

The Amazing Race airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
