Robin Hood will be taking his archery skills to a whole new level when the legendary marksman collides with Doctor Who.

Will Clara's TARDIS Problems Be Addressed Soon On 'Doctor Who'? Steven Moffat Hints At Potential Storyline

Thanks to the sneaky filming of one intrepid fan, Whovians can now get a behind he scene's look at a climactic scene from season 8's third episode, "Robots of Sherwood."

Ryan Farrell caught up with the cast and crew of the iconic BBC series near Castel Coch in Tongwynlais, Wales on Tuesday and captured footage of Robin Hood (Tom Riley), the Twelfth Doctor (Peter Capaldi), and Clara (Jenna Coleman) as they filmed for the Mark Gatiss-penned episode (see video below).

It looks like the famed bandit and his Merry Men will have to deal with an extraterrestrial presence in Sherwood Forest as a spaceship spirals out of control and embarks on a collision course with 11th century England.

The Doctor has a plan, however, and it involves a golden arrow. Unfortunately, Robin of Loxley has an injured arm and the Doctor can't seem to aim a bow and arrow if his life depended on it (which it does). It looks like it will be up to Clara to save the day.

"You could do it," the Doctor implores Clara. "You do taekwondo!"

Not the same sport, Doctor. Not even close.

Will Clara suddenly become an expert marksman, or will Robin ignore his injuries and rise to the occasion? According to Farrell, the latter may be more likely, but fans will have to tune in to find out the truth.

Doctor Who will return to the BBC and BBC America later this year.
