'Agents Of SHIELD' Spoilers: Blackout's Villainous Entrance Revealed [VIDEO], Patrick Brennan Explains Latest Scene
Darkness is closing in on Agents of SHIELD, and the appearance of Blackout will only make it worse.
Marcus Daniels (Patrick Brennan) slipped out of the Fridge - with a little help from the Clairvoyant (Bill Paxton), of course - and now the energy-zapping villain is taking down anyone who gets in between him and his favorite cellist during "The Only Light in the Darkness." Unfortunately for Blackout, he isn't the only one who has a soft spot for the musically inclined Audrey (Amy Acker).
While Coulson will still try to ride in - with or without the might of SHIELD - and save the day, viewers will get to become acquainted with the episode's baddie long before Audrey's former boyfriend come on the scene. A new clip of Blackout has been released, and Brennan was kind enough to shed some light (bad pun intended) on the sneak peek (video below).
Meet Coulson's Cellist On 'Agents Of SHIELD'; Will She Survive Her Old Nemesis?
"We shot the first scene of the show last, on my last night," Brennan explained to Marvel.com. "It was Marcus stepping off of a boat, when you first see him, and literally the boats in the harbor went off. As he walked down the harbor, the lights went off. It was like a kid in the candy store. They made me this incredible coat, it was a trenchcoat with a collar sticking up, that as soon as I put it on I felt like a villain."
Whether it's the jacket or the ability to snuff the life from anyone who displeases him, Blackout is definitely living up to Brennan's feeling.
Agents of SHIELD airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
