'The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1' News: Release Date Delayed Due To Philip Seymour Hoffman's Death? [VIDEO]
There was some speculation on the release date of the last two Hunger Games movies due to the death of Philip Seymour Hoffman, who played Plutarch Heavensbee in the films.
Mockingjay Part 1 Will Be 'More Crazy?'
On Tuesday, it was reported that despite the actor's sudden death, the third and fourth movies are still going to continue with their release dates on schedule. In a press release statement, the production house told its audience not to worry and that The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 was still scheduled to hit theaters on November 21, 2014 and Part 2 will come out on November 20, 2015.
There was also some curiosity going around on how the filmmakers planned to finish the last movie without Hoffman, but apparently they're finding a way to make it work.
Third Hunger Games Movie Will Have 'More To Come?'
"Philip Seymour Hoffman was a singular talent and one of the most gifted actors of our generation," Lionsgate said in a statement. "We're very fortunate that he graced our Hunger Games family. Losing him in his prime is a tragedy, and we send our deepest condolences to Philip's family."
Actor Sam Claflin recently spoke to MTV News about the third film, and the triumphs that the actors have had to face amid following the plot of the novel.
"It's been very tough especially through the stuff we've been shooting recently where it was a little more serious," the actor said. "And I think it was the first time we'd all been kind of together because as you can imagine, if you're familiar with the third novel, we all kind of go our separate ways and then we're kind of brought together at a certain point, and it's the first time we'd all kind of seen each other for so long."
